Any ideas; have a Newer computer with I7 core processor; 8GM ram; computer takes almost 15 per turn as I entry 1942. Losing interest in playing. Can't believe this is right.
Thanks

Must be something with your system. Never takes 15 minutes for me and I'm on an older i5 system. I do have 16 GB of memory so maybe that's it.

15 minutes? Not in my game, and I'm in March '43.

I've got an Intel Core i5-4670K overclocked to 4.4 GHZ, 16GB RAM and SSD hard drives. I would say that turns take less than 5 minutes.

I have a new laptop with similar specs (and 2.6 Ghz) as yours but the AI turns don't seem overly long.

Keep in mind that there are these news messages that appear, and if you are not in front of the PC to close them hitting a keyboard key, they could take a while to disappear on their own.

i7 3.6 and 16 ram. Am playing Soviet only in June 1942 (so AI plays everyone else including my allies). Never timed it - I usually get up and do something else for a while - but would estimate 8 minutes max.

Confirmed: 7-8 minutes when clearing messages.

Forgot to mention: This is with quick animation, but show AI moves on.

It only takes a couple of minutes here.
I usually watch the AI play so I don't even notice it.

Not for me, i5-2500k, 8Gb RAM, old, struggling HDD and no more than 5-6 mins I don't think.

Other games/processes are ok?

I'm playing as Allies with Russia, France, Poland controlled by AI. I have an above average laptop and I'd say it takes about 5-10 minutes for AI to play Russian move and maybe 5 to play Germany. It's late 1944 and Russia has every possible land unit you can buy.

The AI is MUCH faster than I was when I played Russia, lol. That's a lot of units to move, attack, deploy, reinforce, upgrade! In my last game where I played all Allies it sometimes took me 1/2 an hour to play a turn. So I don't find the AI speed a problem at all.

During the most heated part of the game, like 1943-1944, the AI turns were longer, maybe 10 minutes.

Now, later, 1946 turns are faster, assuming the AI does not have as many units spread out in its remaining controlled territory.

I'm playing on a 2007 Dell Vostro 1700 running Vista with lots of freezes, map anomalies, etc, but still enjoying the game.

In 1945, playing Russia only, 15 minutes (or slightly more) is not unusual. There are probably options to speed this up, but I don't know of any off the top of my head. But like n0kn0k I watch the AI so it is not a problem.

I have a Digital Storm i7 4790K Intel CPU, 16 GB DDR3 and NVIDEA GeForce GTX 970 4GB.
