I 'm trying to create a CW scenario from 1985. Which DB should I use? The reason I'm asking is I want to use the Mig-29A which isn't in the CW DB but is in the DB3000. This has confused me somewhat as the Mig-29 entered service early 1980!

You want the DB3000. The CWDB runs from late WWII to 1979. DB3000 from 1979 onwards.

Thanks

Mike

Thanks for the response, that helped but I think there's a small DB bug then. When you go to add a unit the country says Soviet Union (-1991) with Russia (1992-)

It's certainly not a bug. The division in the order of battle is intentional.

I appreciate that but the dates don't match what you have just told me You said CWDB runs until 1979, the CWDB entry says Soviet Union (-1991). One of these is therefore incorrect.

No it's not incorrect. Country's names are unique, so same name is used in both databases, The name country is 'Soviet Uniom' meanwhile (-1991) only display useful information.

It's not very useful if you want to create a CW scenario as I did from 1985. The Soviet Union entry in the CWDB does not contain data for that year despite the entry giving the impression it does.

1991 is the date the Cold War ended so the CWDB should contain data up to that time. As it is the data only goes to 1979. It's just plain wrong.
