Australia vs. Fijian Rebels
Date/Time: 25th May, 2000 / 17:00:00 Zulu.
Location: Fiji.
Playable Sides: Australian Defence Force/ANZAC.

The Fiji coup of 2000 was a complicated yet fairly peaceful affair involving a civilian coup d'état by hardline i-Taukei nationalists against the elected government of a Fijian of Indian Descent Prime Minister, Mahendra Chaudhry, on 19 May 2000, the attempt by President Ratu Sir Kamisese Mara to assert executive authority on 27 May, and his own resignation, possibly forced, on 29 May. An interim government headed by Commodore Frank Bainimarama was set up, and handed power over to an interim administration headed by Ratu Josefa Iloilo, as President, on 13 July.

In this scenario, the coup d'éta was a much more violent and military oriented affair with hardline rebel forces backed by foreign strategic interests. The Fijian Parliament has been brutally overthrown and a military dictatorship has been established in the country, all key airports have been seized and traffic in or out of the region is controlled by the Rebels.

Coming off the back of the success of Peacekeeping operations during INTERFET, Australia and New Zealand have decided to intervene in the coup, and restore the elected Government in an attempt to bring stability back to the region. With ground, sea, and air forces recently experienced in the Amphibious, logistical and Peacekeeping operations during INTERFET, an ANZAC TF is steaming towards Fiji.

So, my second mission for COMANO, this one took a while to make. It's not overly complicated and it may even be a bit far-fetched... But I hope you enjoy it all the same.

Any and all feedback appreciated

First to review this scenario!
Quite enjoyable; I really liked the multiple tasks that keep coming out for the task force, and of course some of them I missed completely.

I have only one suggestion, a cosmetic one, please name all the reference points of the objectives, it's easier to select the right ones expecially when they are so near.

Cheers

Thanks mate, glad you enjoyed it. Over long scenarios I find it's good to keep people busy as they're working towards their main objective with secondary tasks.

I agree with the Reference point names. With SCOT FREE, Bay of Bengal and Straight of Malacca I tried to implement that as much as I could.
