Hi everybody,

Command: Modern Air / Naval Operations has been updated to version 1.14.6

You can download the update from here.

Several bugs have been fixed, together to some changes in the DB.

1.14.6 Changelog

* FIXED: Weapon fired in CEC mode could link up with its firing parent instead of another suitable platform providing CEC guidance. This led to the weapon not getting any target updates, because the firing platform was blind to the target.
* FIXED: Aircraft should postpone its Winchester/Shotgun doctrine-dictated RTB if it has to crank to maintain mid-course guidance of BVR weapons
* FIXED: Datalinked ARH AAM in terminal phase giving priority to parent guidance (or lack thereof) over its own radar readings
* FIXED: Non-towed decoys not participating in point defence sequence
* FIXED: Font-scaling issues on "Doctrine & ROE" window in Asian locales
* FIXED: #12556: [B998.14] Vessels readying in port ignore ready times when manually launched

Includes the v476 update of the DB3000 database.

I was just checking out the latest changes to the game and database.

One of the db entries is curious. The "-OP-3C Orion -- Japan (Air Force), 2014, IMINT" is listed as #4760, but there is also another listed as #4761. It appears to be the same thing except when you bring up the unit on the INDIVIDUAL UNIT SCREEN the #4760 has (Japan- 0), and the #4761 has (Japan-2014). Otherwise, the two units seem to be identical. Are these really two separate units, or is this a unit that is simply a duplicate?

Did anybody manage to get the update from the manual download page? It times out every time i try regardless of whether web or FTP & regardless of computer or WiFi used. The error suggests that the files aren't actually posted yet.

No, I couldn't get it from there either.

I went to the Matrix page and downloaded it from there. I had the same problem that you described.

this one is shown in the members area,but neither work, just tried them both, so atm it's a manual or steam download only, will get it sorted now asap

Actually SLAR is different. They have HPQ-101B or HPQ-101C.

In going through the sensors for the two units you can see that two of them are different. I believe what throws you off is the fact that if you look directly at the list of all of the units in the database from the Database Viewer you will see that both are identically listed as "-OP-3C Orion -- Japan (Air Force), 2014, IMINT." Perhaps the second could be listed slightly differently so that you would be able to recognize that they aren't exactly the same.

BTW, my new Command.exe is dated 11-22-18, which I downloaded from the Matrix site. I see that others are mentioning that the update is dated 11-27-18. Can anyone advise whether there is actually a Command.exe FILE dated 11-27-18, or is the 11-22-18 file the most recent?

This seems to be exactly the same change log as 998.15 listed here http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=4552863&mpage=1&key=998%2E15�

Is there something else which changed as well?

How do I tell if my download has been successful. My version on the banner still says 988.14, but I've downloaded all through 1.14.6

Just so that we are talking apples and apples....At the top it should read "Command 1.14 - Build 998.16" if it has been installed properly. For whatever reason, the banner doesn't ever indicate anything other than 1.14. I believe that it should as it would make things more easily understood.

Although I agree it would help, I think it dosent work like that...

Once the build n� reaches the 1k, then the version goes digit up. Which would then be v1.15, at least that�s how I think it works. Devs might say other though.

How I see it with recent update...

The major versions (1.12, 1.13, 1.14) are the most critical. Unless you first update to these "versions", the others won't install.

Some original people may still have version 1.11 or 1.12, and when they try to update to the latest Build, they find that it won't work. They have to load each of the major versions 1.12, all the way to version 1.14 before they can upgrade to the latest Build.

I would like to see something that says something like "version 1.14.6" to make it more easily understood. But, mine works, so I am just trying to help others who are having difficulty understanding the design.

if you goto help and about in game it does give a clearer picture, but yes agree the top bar one doesn't say or do much as most of the important numbers are hidden, so fair comment tbh
