I think that the "hit by rough seas" event is rather unhistorical. I can't recall a time when dreadnoughts would be hit by rough seas so bad that one or two of them would sink. As a single hex unit must represent multiple ships, that's what I think happened when strength drops from 6 to 2.

It gets more ridiculous when a troop transport is "hit". Rough seas destroying 1/3 of the 2 divisions I was transporting by sea? That's more effective than U-boats!

Please, it makes little sense, just get rid of that.

Hi

In the game, a Dreadnought is not set to receive any damage from a storm*. It can receive a small unit morale loss, but no damage, so if you see it happening then it would be a bug that we would want to investigate.

If that does happen, please email a save file to support@furysoftware.com with an explanation.

Thanks

Bill

* A modder could of course change this, but in the official campaigns it will not lose any strength points to a storm.

Actually, it got even more ridiculous than that. 2 divisions were lost at high seas as they were being transported from Marseille to Egypt. Those are ancient warfare levels of weather attrition.

I will send you an e-mail. Dreadnoughts aren't the worst part, though. Whole divisions lost at sea are much more ridiculous.
