The New York Times didn't like it.... it may be worth watching after all.

Yes I think a brief stop into the film trenches is in order. Thanks for posting this. Rotten Tomatoes gives it good epitaphs.

Looks quite good. I'll go. And I'll bring my 15 Y.O. son with me too.

I'll be going to see it.

The Germans poisoned the wells, ripped up the railroads and planted some mines/booby traps when they withdrew to the Seigfreid Position but I'm pretty sure that they didn't leave the area in front of their new position in the kind of condition that the Brits found in the 3rd Battle of Ypres. I don't think that the area had been fought over since 1914 (if then).

That would be Siegfried.

My native tongue is English. I figure I'm doing great to get all the letters that belong in the name. I believe the Brits called it the Hindenburg Line. Pretty sure I got the spelling correct on that one.

Unless they were referring to a line of watches.

Is that a Ju-52 with turbo-prop engines?

C-47 with turbo-props - quite a few of them around the world. That airframe has been remarkable in its durability and longevity. Makes the B-52 look like a mere pup.

Why take it tri-motor though?

There must be turbo-prop engines of equivalent weight to the old pistons, and probably with higher energy output and better fuel consumption.

I suppose they had a reason.
