Japan has a Lvl 2 Amphibious mission research.
It is August 1941 and I am unable to make LRAT. Why is this? Has there been a change?

Hi Boudi,

Unfortunately it looks this is indeed correct. I was hoping to allow continued access to the PBEM++ server with the beta hotfix but it looks like it won't be possible at this time.

Apologies for the continued inconvenience and I'll update the original post to reflect this.

Thanks, I will try to download the fix. I have to start invasions in June to invade in December without long range amphibs...

Did or does the bug affect LONG RANGE AMPHIP in War In Europe ? I am considering to start a Sea Lion game there and that would be a bad idea without those.

Unfortunately it does also affect WiE but we are just testing the release builds right now for the update/fix, so hopefully the patches will be released for WiE very soon as well if all goes well.

Ok, good that I asked. It would have been a direly realistic Sea Lion without Long Range boats ...

If you need someone to test the new version, I have plenty of time on my hands, while I use a Strategic Command WW1 calender to mark the days of the Corona lockdown :)

Sea Lion is already well underway :)

The long range transports caught the Brits completly off guard - with the Royal Navy driven from the waters around the Isles, I could strike into Scotland, Wales and Yorkshire.

I look forward to the new patch. The hot fix did not work for me. I couldn't open games nor opponents open a new game. My Japanese attacks are now losing a serious punch but i am trying to fight through it and chalk it up as experience..

The patch has already been released (available on the 18th), see the details here but in order to correct the Long Range Amphibious Transport issue you'll unfortunately need to start a fresh game with the latest v1.06.01 patch:

Actually..disregard this.. just found it.

Umm.. I was wondering how to fix this for the Naval War Mod. As it is still broken for it.

The naval war mod would have to change all the unit build values from null, to 0.

I prefer the naval war mod with respect to rebuilding naval units cheaper, better retreats and damaged avoided and spotting range for maritime bombers and ship.

How do I set the null to 0? So my next multiplayer game doesnt suffer from using regular amphibs to invade DEI and Burma with little or no supply.

Unfortunately you cannot edit these directly without moving them first. What you'll need to do is navigate to your installation folder for the game and then to the following folder:

Community Pack\Campaigns

Then copy the desired campaign as well as the subfolder and move it to this folder instead:

C:\Users\<username>\Documents\My Games\Strategic Command WWII - World at War\Campaigns

Now you can open it in the Editor and then all you'll have to do is then go to Campaign->Edit Country Data->Edit Unit Build Limits

Then for each of the desired countries, change the value for AT and LRT from null to 0, e.g. where it shows the value of 0 instead of nothing.

Save the campaign after that and you should be good to go.

It should work fine if you've corrected the campaign data, as only that campaign data will be read for multiplayer. The trick of course is to play with the updated campaign only and both you and your opponent need to be playing from the updated campaign as well.

Thanks. Unfortunately finding players that was to change their cfg is near impossible and makes multi-player a non-starter.

How do we get the mod fixed in the next patch? I prefer Naval Mod as ship and air search is much better. Ship movement and retreats are too.

Isn't this fixed for naval mod in 1.6.1? - thought it was underlying game engine issue caused by WW1 game.

The issue was twofold, a change that exposed an issue with campaign settings where the AT, T, and LRT builds were set to null. I'll look into officially fixing this in the mods as well.
