ORIGINAL: fritzfarlig I played almost all evening CS vietnam and I wondering does the close air support works ? I have checked the rule nothing is greyed out in the dialog list and I see no bomb marker I play The Mauling - Battle of Ap Nha Mat Hello Fritz Dangerously, good question, let me answer in detail in case other players will be asking this as well. First, for Enhanced Close Air Support, said Optional Rule must be toggled ON. Otherwise, legacy Airstrikes it is. (Red arrow) To select a CAS mission, click at the CAS icon with a F4 Phantom icon to open up the CAS Dialog. (The old Bomb icon is there for legacy Airstrikes when ECAS not ON, due to technical issues in how Toolbar is drawn we cannot unfortunately toggle icons on and off the bar) (1) To look at the ordnance the various CAS missions are equipped with, double click at a select CAS mission row in the dialog to open up the detailed ECAS window. (2) To select and plot the CAS mission itself, return to CAS Dialog, select a row by clicking at it, and once selected, left click at a map hex you want to place the mission at. That's it. Note that you need Air Power points available, one per air mission, to plot a CAS (or Airstrike if playing without the optional rule) mission.
