I've given it a try, and personnally did not found it worth my money... The graphics and sounds are great, and animation is quite good. My main concern was the lack of strategies you can develop, and I found myself very quickly selecting large parts of my forces and sending them to the ennemy. Without being able to really use "combined arms", due to lack of (real)time and difficulty to select units individually, I've found this game quite fun, but definitely not a wargame. Best of all,
Kord.

yep
great graphics and you can destroy everything you see , units included. I mean they come and they go . Like command and conquer but you don't have to worry about building units and such. If you want it , buy some retail version or platinium version or whatever they call that

Yup! You can forget the the game, but the multiplayer is very entertaining.
Had great fun when I was hiding the last surviving artillery piece before the enemy and executing long range attacks on tanks and such...and afterwards loading it on a truck in panic when the enemies answer was underway.
Well, it's certainly better than C&C especially with its better tactical possibilities. But it could in no way survive the comparison to SP:WAW of course.

Sudden Strike can be very, very cool if you play it like a turn based game. With liberal use of the pause function and playing the game bit by bit you can get a lot of tactics and strategies going. It has its issues but I wouldn't write the game off. It has a lot to offer... Tomo

They first announced it would support true-LOS, but it has the usual crappy circular vision all RTS have, they even have no proper armor schme as anything (besides rifles) can tak out everything (including Greyhounds killing SturmTigers & the like ...)
The game is not tactical/strategical in any special way... old Warcraft 2 and Age of Empire have better tactics (at least against AI ...)
So better plan to use your flatrate if you buy it . murx
