Anybody out there have any clue as to how the game chooses which Infantry Icons it will use for what Nation? For instanc in a N.Spain vs R.Spain scenario you end up with Russian and Desert Icons shp0013 and shp0014. Could N. Spain be assigned German Icons shp0010? Or is this another boondogle?

Hey Kevin,

They are hard-coded, and unable to be assigned, both spains use the 'Russian' icon, so whenever this happens, one side gets to be tan!! I wish it was more like the campaign series, where you can just make new icons for the infantry, assign them in the oob, and voila!! Oh well....

Sure, the campaign Series are by Talonsoft, they are East Front II, West Front, and Rising Sun, also lately the Divided Ground, comprising the Arab-Israeli Wars!!! They aren't hard to edit, once you get the hang of it, and are 2D with 3/4 view 3D units, in various zoom levels. They are platoon level basic units, and go up to Army level, for REALLY huge battles!!!
