My favourite mouse is the Microsoft Intellimouse. It has a red light underneath and gives superb control.

The other thing about wireless is that it has a battery - adding to the weight

A keyboard is a keyboard is a keyboard. I use three that cost me 5.95 each and use 7.95 optical corded mice with them. What to get is tied intimately with how much you have to spend and what you want. Wireless keyboard and mice are nice to have if you can afford it. If you are getting corded stuff, the 5.95/7.95 ones are just fine.

Definetly not if quality and ergonomy are buying factors for you.

If you see a difference and it is worth it to pay for the difference, then get the one you prefer. I have spent $40 for a mouse and $7.95. I have used $100 keyboards and $5.95 keyboards. I haven't seen a difference in quality or comfort in using one over the other. About 4 years ago, I bought a keyboard for $9.95 and it didn't work. I took it back and got another one - same make, same model. It is still on my desk, working just fine. Even if it had gone out, the $60 odd bucks I saved versus a high end keyboard could have bought me 6 replacements. Quality is good, but if it costs you 7x as much to buy "quality", it probably isn't worth it. Ergonomically, I don't feel much difference in keyboards, but if you do and can afford it, then buy it.

Marky is sending mixed signals. I can't tell how much money he actually has to buy a computer, but he acts like he has little money for one. It makes no sense to configure a $2000 system for him if all he can scrape together is $350 bucks. I can configure a lot nicer system with nicer things all around, but the point here is have enough to be able to play UV. When it comes down to it, I can get by with a 5.95 keyboard and a 7.95 mouse and if money is an issue, this is a good place to save money.
