Some one posted in a reply to Eric's post that to order a cd I will have to wait for August??????

DD is not an option for me. So I don't want the matrix staff wasting time with it. Get me the ability to order a cd and fed ex the puppy you could the service the world right then.

Then if you wanted to set up DD for the ones who want it to save a few cents great.

That makes no sense at all!!

It should not take a month to burn a cd and throw it in a fed-ex Box!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is poor execution of customer service.

Yeah, and after I get my hands on WitP I will be MIA for another 2 years

Lol, spend most of my time 2 forums away: the Airborne Assault: Highway to the reich forum and beta'ing that game (Yes, there are still other games then UV and WitP!)

Can understand your confusion, but the reality is good for your concerns:

1) A disk on demand option will be available to you as soon as the game is posted in the Online e-store for download. This means you will be able to get a CD with the installer immediately.

I believe the August delivery is for a more packaged version of the game in a DVD slip case and maybe even with some form of limited manual (certainly wouldn't be the full blown one....)

The question I was responding to had to do with "box on demand" - in other words, the DVD case package with the CD. I'm sorry I caused confusion. ALL of our digital downloads, including WitP, have CD-on demand available from the start. As soon as the download is available, you can also order the CD. You will not, however, be able to order a box until August.

So, to summarize:

CD-on-demand and Digital Download: Available On Release
Box-on-demand (with CD): Available in August

I'm not sure what is so confusing...

They are releasing a boxed version of the cd and a simple back up version of the cd.

You can't get the nice boxed one until august. You can however, get the simple cd when you purchase the digital download option. Both cd's will give you the game, it's just the digital download cd on demand option is a no frills one.

The quote above is what caused the confusion which has now been cleared up.

The above states that WITP will only be avaliable by DD until August.

This was more fully explained later by Eric

when he stated he was talking about the fancy box version.

I don't care about a box just want the game. I am very pleased with the response I was given that it will be avaliable in cd from day 1 though not in a fancy case.
