Hi all, (testers)

Can anyone give details as to what is different when you play Historical vs Hard? I'm used to the old UV method that the computer just gets better die rolls as opposed to being smarter. I think I've see that the computer gets supply/logistic bonuses. Does anyone know the specifics? Mr Frag has said that Hard is much funner to play. I'd hate to be playing on historic and have the computer fold in one year. But I also don't like playing with the computer getting tactical bonuses that wouldn't be realistic.

Thanks for any specifics that anyone might know.

I beleive on levels above Historical the AI is allowed to 'cheat' by peaking at your unit placement, etc.

As I recall hard boosts prod and very hard boost these and give a combat advantage

Quick summary,

at Hard level, the AI gets an advantage from -

TFs can still move at cruise even if out of fuel.
The "raw recruits" that are received if the pilot pool is exceeded will not be as bad.
Lower op losses.
Lots and lots of different boosts to supply and fuel (ie starting bonus, production bonus and delivery bonus).

Very Hard is just more of this plus the combat bonus.

I recommend Very Hard. I don't see any obvious and unrealistic results (omg that betty shot down all my cap!) so I'm sticking with it.

For whole map scenarios vs the AI I think Very Hard is required (as well as a dozen house rules).
