Who can ever forget that today is D-Day - the liberation of Europe! May the memory of this event and others live on through the great gaming system of SP:WAW and other WWII games ------------------ A King Tiger can give you a definite edge...

A few minutes after midnight CPT. Frank Lillyman led his team of Eagle pathfinders into the darkness, the liberation of Europe had begun. Go 101st Airborne, Screaming Eagles! ------------------ An old soldier but not yet a faded one. OK, maybe just a bit faded.

On June 4th, 58 years ago, the struggle of Midway ended, and the Japanese death grip on the Pacific began to loosen. Today, 56 years ago, by the time of this writing, the beaches of Normandy were quickly becoming the home of troops of one of the largetst invasion forces in human history. Festung Europa had been breached. The Great Crusade was beginning. Allied troops were in Western Europe and the bloody handwriting on the wall told the story. It was now a matter of time...and unimaginable sacrifice on the part of many nations. A D-Day Museum is being opened this week in New Orleans. I would consider it a "must see." I think a special program on D-Day and the museum is on one of the major TV channels tonight. The number of men who were there is rapidly diminishing each year. I hope we remember the living and the dead and what was accomplished on this day so long ago. Wild Bill ------------------ Wild Bill Wilder Coordinator, Scenario Design Matrix Games
