Auto Disbanding TF?

I searched the forums but couldn't come up with anything so I will ask you guys

Whenever I create a TF of AK only of any amount, in S.F., and then start the loading and assign a area to go, the next turn the TF gets disbanded. Anyone know why this is happening?

Not really. Auto-disband is off by default. What kind of TF? Is it only in SF? What scenario?

Just to be clear, you are NOT clicking the auto-disbant toggle at all?

Yes I have not touched it, and make sure it is off. I have tried this through about 5 turns and everytime I create a TF of AK and pick up supplies It disbands during the computer turn.

Rather like the AI is controlling the TF? (Pure WAG here.)

Are any of these ships in the auto-convoy pool prior to assignation to the TF? Is SF in the auto-convoy base list?

Have you posted this in the bug forum? One of the betas or Matrix staff might be able to help better, and possibly log it if indeed it is one. Have a save handy, too.

2 questions

is the US West Coast set to Computer control?

Are you using and did you assign all or most of your AK's to the auto convoy system?

No the west coast is not computer controlled and I have about 110 AK's in Port and only about 20-30 are assigned to auto-convoy.

Ok send me your latest save game file and step by step directions on how to make this repeat include the names of ships you use in the task force, cargo and destination you set.

Example of what I mean by step by step.
(It cuts down on wild goose chasing and trying to read someones mind)

Load save Japanese AI
Allied turn
Go to San Francisco)
Click on base to bring up main base window
Select form new task force
Select type Cargo

Select the following ships
AK Lahina
AK Mapele
AK Admiral Cole
AK Absaroka
AK Shooting Star
Select Done

Set TF Destination to Pearl Harbor
Select computer control to make it a CS TF

This has already been posted as a bug weeks ago. It happened to me. The work-around has also been posted. For some reason, having the US West Coast on Human and the area above it "Northern Pacific" (?Game not in front of me) on Computer Control will cause this. Change that area from Computer to Human and everything in San Fran works fine.

I think it was NE Pac, turn off computer control and you'll be fine. Same thing happened to me.

There has been a report of this issue, a work around was posted but we never got a repeatable save from anyone so that the programmer can see what it going on and fix the dang thing...

This is not going to be fixed in the 1.2 patch, nor is it even on the to do list for patch 1.3 and I have seen both lists. So if you all want to see this one get fixed, hopefully someone will stop working around the issue and send us a save so it can get fixed.

The information I need is listed above along with a email address to send the save to.

If Kid says that we need a save for this issue as he did above you can take it to the bank that we don't have one he is the keeper of the sacred lists...
