Status: offline 		If you play only one country, and let the AI handle the others, I would estimate about 4-5 hours non stop...keep in mind that's based on my pace...someone else may complete the game at a quicker or slower rate...

Status: offline 		You can finish the games vs. AI in one evening-long session (albeit you'll need a looongish evening, as JP said - 4-5 hours). You're free to split the game over several evenings if you wish so, and if you manage to order yourself to STOP!

Vs. human player(s) it's usually the same, depending on your style of play (hotseat, PBEM...). In every game vs. human I need at least 30% more time per turn to do the thinking (humans are more vicious than PCs, you have to account for all the possibilities ) and if you play PBEM, you'll depend on other player's schedules.

Big thins going for this game is that it's really suited for many styles of play - solitary, PBEM... This game is certain to become HIT among PBEM gamers...

Status: offline 		Seasonal turns, I think the game ends in Winter '46 (winter is first turn of the year in WAW) so that's 24 turns (give or take a turn).

First turn is Spring '40.

Status: offline 		Of course, it depends on the player too. If you get your butt kicked by the AI like I tend to, the games should be a little shorter.

Status: offline 		A 24 turn game? Jeez, I was hoping it would be somewhat longer. I kinda liked HOI, it took for-freaking-ever. I was REALLY hoping WAW would be the same. Oh well, at least there is WiTPs 1,500+ turns to keep me happy!

You can toggle on the game options "No End Date" and "No Auto Victory". Then by using a bidding system (using bonus supply points each turn), end up with a game that is balanced and won't end until one player takes over the world. In a well played game, that could take a long time.

i should clarify Joel's comment; it should be "won't end until one side takes over the world"

Germany can't fight Japan, and the Western Allies can't fight the Soviet Union.
