I am on MSN but can never accept files people try and send me. Have I got this switched off somewhere? Any help appreciated.

This is normally a firewall issue.

If your using the Win Xp firewall, go to the control panel and double click
on the firewall icon and click the exception file tab and see if any of the MSN catagories are unchecked.

Read all the warning about making exceptions first.

Also: While your in control panel check your security level in Internet Options, if it's set to HIGH that could also be causing your problem. Medium is fine.

Disable your firewall temporarily and have someone email you, but keep your virus protection enabled.

Yes that worked.
Is there no other way round it?

I would say contact MSN and explain to them what you have to do to get your email. See if there might be a work around to the problem or there is something else you might be able to do too get your email.

Also, If your not using the XP firewall, leave the one that you are using disabled and enable XP firewall and see what happens.

I have seen threads here at the forum that some use both?
