I have Starships Unlimited 1 what I was wondering what is new in part two? Are there new weapon families? Are there new tech? From what I see looks like same game just with better graphics but could be wrong. Can anybody tell me of anything new in part 2?

As far as i know, the major difference between 1 & 2 is graphical (and musical of course : neat soundtrack from Eric Pearson

). But it makes the hell of a difference when playing the game! I still get that shiver down my spine when diverting more power from the propulsion system to the weapons, firing a last phasor beam at the enemy, blowing it to bits...

Plus you now have different graphics for the six ship classes. Playing with the new interface is a lot easier. 30 new artifacts. And of course, the AI is much tuffer. As for the tech tree, there ARE a few new things to research.
Depending on how much you love the original, it's a definite safe buy.
