WIR works fine on my system (So I don' think it's a DOS problem) but Pacwar will not run. I keep getting an error after the "credits page appears" saying the program has performed an illegal operation. The details on the error say the program tried to execute an invalid instruction at fault location: 0000:026F.
I'm stumped and need some help. Pacwar used to work fine. The only thing I changed between then and now was to install a GeForce Ti-500 video card in place of my ATI Rage Fury Maxx card.
EVERYTHING else, games, programs, etc. work fine.
What is the problem? I downloaded and reinstalled the latest Pacwar updates.
PLEASE ADVISE! ANYONE!
WIN 98SE, Pentium 2 400, 128 MG ram, Soundblaster 16PCI.

PacWar uses more "DOs Low memory area" Ram than WIR, so it may be that teh new card has more little gimcraks in memory than the other, or is other wise using more of the base 640k footprint in DOS sessions. It can be frustrating to reconfigure. I'm not sure what I ever did to my setup but one day it started working...

I'd appreciate ANY ideas, I've tried about everything I can think of. Maybe one of the programmers there has an idea? I may not be the only one with this type of problem and I can't wait until the "follow-on" games come out.
Those will work in windows, right? Victory in the Pacific, Uncommon valor? Stupid question?
