An Air France Airbus has skidded off the runway at Toronto International airport and burst into flame with 200+ passengers on board.

Any Toronto residents here to comment?

Apparently no one died. There were only injured who were rushed into hospital.

Amazingly (and a big credit to the crew), of 309 people, only 14 sustained minor injuries.

Interesting, how fractured bones count as only minor injuries.

Why? A plaster cast and in a few weeks you are as good as new. I guess "major" injuries are those which, even if not necessarily life threatening, require significant surgery to patch up the casualty.

Great news that nobody was killed.

Yeah, I'd rather have two broken legs than 3rd degree burns over 80-90% of my body.
