Hi-V1.6, scen.15, early 3/44. I hold Iwo & Moratai. I'll invade Jolo & Naha before end of March. Some questions. 1. Does Japan surrender, or does the game go on until the '46 date? 2. If Japan surrernders, how do I make this event happen? Political points, invasion, what? (I'm trying for a 1.75 ratio or better, with no atomics.) 3. At this game date, do I have to worry about the USSR? Do I assume the European war is going historically, or is there some trigger that brings Russia in? 4. Is it a good idea to hold several divs at Iwo or Naha, ready to rush into Tokyo if Japan surrenders? 5. Is there some trigger for Kamakazi attacks, or are they historical? 6. Other than gaining points, is it a good idea to go into the DEI? I know if I do I can deprive Japan of resources, but is it necessary? I'll have the entire Aussie army to go into DEI. It is all based on Victory Points. In 1944 you need to have 3:1 for the auto victory to kick in. In 1945 you need 2:1 to get the auto victory. If you do not get an auto victory the game goes on until March 1946. The best you can get in 1946 is a Draw.
