Hey all,
I just got done watching The Dirty Dozen that I recieved as an Xmas present. Something I noticed in it that I had never though about before. At the end when the Chateau is exploding and Lee Marvin is driving the gun tractor over the bridge, that little German vehicle tries to intercept them. Was that vehicle real, or was it just a stage creation? It had a big shield in the front with a loophole for the machinegun. It looked like it might be good for urban combat perhaps building and door busting.

A Kubelwagen with a splinter shield.

More than likely it was an English film prop.
That's where they filmed it.

Speaking of the Dirty Dozen. Anyone know whatever happened to "Clint Walker"?? I remembered him from the Saturday tv series Cheyenne (sp?) and after the Dirty Dozen I don't remember seeing him in anything else.

"The Night of the Grizzly" is the last movie I saw him in.
Middle to late 60's, I think. That was a long time ago.

Interesting, he did a voiceover for the movie "Toy Soldier's", in the late 90's.

According to IMDB, some of his DD co-stars were also in ToySoldiers: Bornine, Jim Browne, George Kennedy.

Think I'll raid the kids' video box and watch it again - in a whole new llight.

Off topic *slightly*, has anyone seen any of The Dirty Dozen series? It's on ITV4 on Sunday night.

Watched a half hour of it and almost puked!
