Hmm, if you torpedoed a tanker full of Guinness, wouldn't that make it float instead of sink?

Real men eat Guinness with a fork

alas, even with the torpedo, 99% of the PBR gets through. Bleh!

My father used to work in a PBR brewery when he was in college after the war. To this day, he still won't drink it.

Of course not that would be a waste of the black gold!

No torps aimed and a tanker of Pabst Blue Ribbon Nic is trying to inflict upon this fair isle.

Well - i wouldn't put it QUITE in the category of bilge water. Only Dogfish Ale ever reached those depths in my experience. But PBR isn't very good... no, not good at all (in my opinion, and i suspect in the opinion of many, many people).

BEER NEWS

Don't quote me on this, but when I was in business school I read a case study in my strategic marketing class about global beer sales. Anyone want to guess what the latest fad was in China? That's right PBR. Apparently PBRs sales boomed and the chinese thought it was the best thing since eggrolls.

I just tried to confirm the case study though and couldn't find mention of it anywhere. It may be old news. I did find that China is now the worlds leading exporter of beer though.

They are now exporting all the PBR they had previously imported...

yes. It's a variant of the s!@# roles down hill theory. In this case, PBR finds its way to the bottom of the economic ladder.
