Are Aussie ships only helped by AR's? Or do AR's help repair all nationalities in 1.605?

ARs work for all ships.

There were changes as to the MLEs and ASs and such...they used to only support their nationality but I think they do all now.

I think ARs will help to repair any ships that are disbanded in port.

I don't think they have to be disbanded.

AR and AS and other support vessels perform better when in a TF in a port or when disband? Never really got far enough to test this. I would think (and do) disband in a port to repair appropriate type from what I know. Advices ?

They probably work better but I think (I may be wrong...it's been known to happen) that ARs can even help in open sea.

Aah maybe AR can help a damaged ship to not sink for the time needed to arrive in a decent size port. Several are then handy behind any invasion TF

Thanks for the tip!

Any ship with less than 5 system damage will not be repaired unless disbanded in port. I think this is where the impression that ARs only work on disbanded ships is derived, though I've been wrong before...

I'm confused but maybe haven't played through enough of the game yet. All the ARs are either US or Japanese in my limited experience though I suppose the US player could convert a 7000+ ton Aussie ship in San Francisco?
