Occasionally, one or several of my tanks go from having 50+ rounds of main gun ammo to 0 after firing perhaps 5 shots (These are my Japanese Chi-Ha tanks, with their little pop guns). The tanks have taken no fire, nor has the gun been disabled as far as I can tell...the ammo just *poofs*, unless I am missing something. Anyone else experience this now and then?

Umm no i ahve not. arwe you sure it hasn't been disabled? Does it still shot the gun as a weapon it can use? like at bottom of screen 2:2:4:4?

Do you have "weapon breakdowns" switched ON in your preferences? Here is yet another bit of "combat friction" that occurs -- guns can jam or get overheated and just stop working. It's a random thing, and you have no control over it -- same goes for breakdowns of vehicles. In this game, sh*t can happen when you least expect it. All I can say is be prepared for the worst possibilities, and plan accordingly. This is why flexible planning and maintaining a reserve, even against the lowly AI, is so important.

Not sure what happened, I didn't see anything wrong except the ammo was gone and the usual count of shots for the main gun was a blank space. Nothing indicated in the unit details. Later, the ammo reappeared. /shrugs.

Maybe it was a overheated barrel or whatever...but it happens fairly often.

And I always plan for the worst.
