What about GGFEDVED?

Though technically in our case VE Day isn't fixed...

Awful. Not to mention inaccurate.. not only did the Battle of Britain start before Eagle Day, strictly speaking "bombing the Reich" did too, even if the game doesn't cover that period.

How about "Gary Grigsby's Air War in Europe" ?

The only thing is that you may want to combine that date for the two separate time periods i.e August to October 41 and August 43 to the end of the war. This may stop people complaining about including the periods between.
