I've been drooling over all the pictures of uniforms being developed and would like to do my own. I'm assuming there is no in-game uniform design like FBPRO had (where you could input your own colors into existing templates for example).

So would one you guys who have done these uniforms for Maximum Football be kind enought to post a simple tutorial for us newbies?? Please? Do we need to get our own software to do this? Is there some type of uniform generator available?

Any information would be helpful.

I can give you a quick reply to help get you started, if you have more questions after that I will do what I can. First Im using Paint Shop Pro X, but any software that allows you to work with layers should work. Second download the file templates and the viewers, do a search of the forum for author "bassman", about a month ago he posted a site where you could download these from. These templates are for Paint Shop Pro and Phote Shop. I cant remember where I found a download zip of endzones done by Old Coach, that I used as a guide for the endzones that I have done, havent really found any official downloads for field graphics.

Even Windows "Paint" should make it but Paintshop Pro or Photoshop support layers.

I wonder if someone would be able to make the uniform viewer change the colors for you and make it load uniforms by browsing for the folder where it is stored?

They probably need the source to the uniform viewer but dunno

I can make my own unis but it can take a while.

The templates also work with Gimp, which is freeware you can download off of the net.

I'm working on a tutorial now. It should get most people started. Since I use PSP9 it will be written for PSP. Most PS users should be able to follow along. I'll have it ready sometime on Tuesday, Feb. 7th. I can post it at rapidshare unless someone else has a site willing to host files. I am not aware of any Maximum Football fansites.

Any suggestions, post a reply or PM me. Of course I'll update it as we learn more, So for now it's a beta tutorial.

Thanks Bassman! That's good news. Please post the link to the tutorial here when you've got it done.

Hey guys, quick question I hope someone can help me with.
Im using the templates and Photoshop CS2.

When im doing the pants, I can get the amount of stripes and what color I want them to be just fine. But when im trying to do the sleeves, anytime i try to fill in the color on a set or a single stripe it turns the whole image that color. Ive been at this for about 2 hours and no matter what I do I can't get the sleeve stripes to be a certain color while the rest of the image stays in it's base color. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you using layers. Create a new layer and place the stripes on that layer, layer as much as possible.

Yeah, layers im still working on, lol. Ive got filling in stuff down pretty well but truth be told it's easier to actually "paint" for me in crappy old MSPaint, but that really only works on the sleeves, other stuff it loses the textures.
