OK, I owe Big B big time for this idea as well as the top half of the backgrounds. I hope he doesn't mind my using them. I just don't have many backgrounds of my own yet and I'm pressed for time these days so I don't really have the opportunity to fine tune my own ship art and create all the files I need. The bottom four backgrounds are my doing.

Anyway, this is pretty much my catalog so far with the exception of a Japanese CLAA and an Australian CVL which are already posted on Rogueusmc's and Spooky's sites.

My e-mail is down so I'll have to PM Rogueusmc and Spooky the file shortly.

bmp file below...CHS may use the two Soviet DDs if they wish. Also Ioshima might be a good candidate for CHS, I don't know.

JPEG image below for if and when my Geocities site transfer rate maxes out.

Excellent idea!

Your art has gotten amazingly good in a short period of time; I'm seriously impressed..

Thanks guys! I put a lot of time and effort into these so I'm glad you like them. I got obsessed with Montana last night and somehow managed to stay up the entire night/morning doing it. I must have had a divine helper or something as I have no idea how it came out as well as it did.

BTW the idea of cut and paste is Big B's. He is the real innovator here. He included a cut and paste file on his excellent renditions of the IJN CAs.

Great work Gary!
But your Ioshima is the style when serviced in Chinese navy as cruiser Ning Hai.

After Japanses rebulit, the style of Ning Hai and Ping Hai is changed like this:

upper one is Yasojima (ex-Ping Hai)
lower one is Ioshima(ex-Ning Hai)

To cut and paste a ship side I have to trace the ship with MS paint?
Arrgh!!!

Is there an easier way?

Try the free program Gimp...it handles layers and might have a magic eraser. I use PhotoShop but it's pricey.

Oh and layers are your friend too.

Click and hold on the eraser in the tool bar and you will see in the drop menu an eraser with a star next to it. It will work like the paint bucket in reverse. You set the variable for the toleracne for shade in upper bar beneath the drop menus.

After using the magic eraser, use the 'defringe' option on that layer to get rid of thos little bits of white left on the edges of what you erased around.

Thank Big B for those backgrounds, those four pictured above are his. I did quite a few backgrounds on my own but I still like Big B's the best myself.

Was a hard work of search warships profiles from my library, cut and paste, pixeling, correct pixels, erase pixels, etc...
The ships are surely oversize, but are sooo beautiful that cannot resist put them in this measures.

nononono I think I got it...you need it if you design a new ship class picture from the scratch and you want to see the waves on the picture moving

How about a file with the ship sides name and what # slot they belong in.

Some of these great new drawings by contributors don't have the side #'s for replacing the old ones. Help!!!
