Playing a league game, U.S. rules. Using the mouse to select plays.

My team punted to the opponent. The ball carried over the receiver's head and bounced at the one yard line. The ball then bounced around between one yard deep in the end zone and the 1 yard line. The punt returner would hop around after the ball, but never fielding it. The blockers and coverage units froze in place.

I had to exit the game w/o saving it.

Thanks,
Headtrauma

I have seen that twice in about 200 games. My work-around was to hit Escape, Save, Ok, then Load, Ok and it went right back to the punt play and the game continued as normal. If we can pin this down we'll get it fixed.

Regards,

- Erik

This happened to me also, in a Canadian quick play game. The ball went over everyone's head to about the 5, and then everyone (on both teams) lined up at about the 8 yard line. I couldn't select any player to field it.

That did not happen to me in during beta, but I found that most plays in which the returner did not catch the ball, other than after a safety in Indoor mode, was because the graphics needed to be tweaked down just a bit.

That may not be the cause in this case, but if a ruturner cannot get under the ball often, then check the settings.

Here is a screenshot of what mine looked like, in case people are wondering if their problem is the same as ours:

I should also mention that I punt away from the return man quite a bit, so the part about the receiver not catching the ball might not be just a graphics issue.
