Surrender clause? Never... Punch my monitor forcing a cessation of hostilities? Possibility some days.

Almost seems like the surrender clause can apply to life and getting old!!!

May 19th 42. Brief report, so as not to bore you with details.
A Japanese submarine was attacked and hit 6 times at Pago Pago. It was the RO-34, it, and it's crew have rejoined their honorable ancestors, it succeeded in torpedoing DD King; the destroyer is being repaired at this time.
A large raid on Port Moresby occurred today.
The insignificant base of Toboali, in the DEIs was taken today by the enemy. There were no losses, all the allied forces having been evacuated a long time ago.

March 20th. Attacks on PM continue, while we regret to inform our public of the fall of the base of Samarinda, in Borneo. This was the last bastion in that island to hold out against the evil yellow devils.

I have received today a visit from Malenkov. He brings me a letter and a map from our friend Josef. He is most concern by the offenssive Japanese actions in north China. It seems the entire North West China is about to collapse. It seems the Generalissiom has been keeping this from us.

Finally Sining was attacked by enemy forces, that reduced the city's fortifications but contrary to previous reports, Mao's Northern force has managed to hold on to the city.

The uninspired defence that the allies have been employing has resulted in unfettered Japanese expansion everywhere.
In Burma, Japanese forces are alligned on a front running from the coast to just beyond Lashio. They have cut the Burma road at Lashio, and there is no way the Brits are going to be doing anything about it for quite a while. Reinforcements are on the way, but it's going to be a pain to attack so far from the railheads.
In China, the whole northern China front is about to collapse, with the last major site of resistance, Sining down to minimal fortifications. We do not expect the city to last more than a day or two.
On the south, the Japanese have managed to surround a large contingent of Chinese forces, and it is unclear how they shall extract themselves. (Map tomorrow)
The Japanese task force that is attacking PM is now invisible due to the destruction of the allied forces in PM
Indeed the only success for the allied forces, aside from some submarines, is the reconquest of the island of Canton, where there is a large contingent of allied forces.
Also a large tanker convoy made it to Sidney with much needed fuel.

The bad news continue.
After a short respite, the enemy lands, unoppossed at Macassar; Port Moresby is bombarded and invaded. The forces at PM are not numerous, and it is doubtful that they will last long. The loss of Lexington, Hornet and Saratoga make it impossible for the allies to attempt a response to this thrust. The enemy will most probably now threaten Australia. The Aussie troops, fighting on their home turf will prove a tougher nut to crack for the yellow devils. Supplies and reinforcements however have gotten through to the Southern continent, and the Aussies stand ready.
In Burma, the enemy troops forced a river crossing, with heavy losses in their march on Kumming. A counterattack, designed to push them back accross the river has been ordered, but you never know with the chinese troops.

The Japanese forces have continued their landings in Port Moresby, Macassar and Puerto Princesa. Also they have landed in Bali.
Macassar and Puerto Princesa have been taken, unoppossed by the Japanese today.
In China, Japanese forces attacked Sining, and were repulsed with heavy losses on both sides.
In north China, the small city of Hawi was taken by the Japanese. The Chinese defenders are withdrawing towards Russian territory.
Chinese forces have counterattacked in the mountains SE of Lashio and pushed the Japanese accross the river.

It seems the large Japanese carrier force that was supporting the enemy atack on PM is now leaving the Coral sea area. Then again, it could be a ruse.
