Well why not? I for one am irritated by childish sniping accross PC/console divide. It seems there is no greater insult than telling a fan of some PC game that it is "console port". So what if both versions were developed simoultaneously or if, indeed, the game is an outright port? Recently, on COD2 boards, some bozos went incredible lenghts to present a "solid proof" that COD2 is developed primarily for consoles. They dissected parts of code and found some console-related stuff there! Wow! There you go - a "proof" your game is console port and thus a garbage! Those idiots conveniently forgot that indeed, both versions (X360, PC) of this fantastic game were indeed developed simoultaneously, by the same developer, so is there anything more logical than the fact they will share the same code?? Consoles are in fact just specialised (some would say castrated ) PCs. So what's the problem? I also have to add I don't have a console, nor I plan to buy one. Mostly because no console game really intrigues me, and those that do, exist in PC versions (which are usually superior ). But this can change, and I am open to it. X360 is not even sold officially in my country (perhaps because we're too small or because piracy is rampant). Problem is most games for consoles are indeed dumbed down compared with PC counterparts, so people expect new games to continue the dumbing down trend, then developers meet their expectations and indeed dumb down their games etc. This vicious circle needs to be broken, by some brave publisher that will show that console games may be more intelligent than that, and still sell well. Either that, or I will continue to play PC games exclusively till I die, which is a valid option I guess Case in question: upcoming Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter. Based on available info, console version will be dumbed down to meet the expectations of "console crowd". PC version is developed by some second class developer as an afterthought, and will be released some months later. That, if true, is just sad. I have no problem with console being their "primary target". Hell I'd buy a X360 to play GRAW alone, if I thought game deserves it. Problem is they a) dumbed down the original game, b) they treat PC version as an afterthought. So both sides of the "divide" lose. Bad! But it does not have to be like that. Examples of Matrix games that could do well on consoles (X360 included). When I say "do well" have on mind that Matrix games are not top sellers on PC neither, so if they could repeat their moderate success on consoles, and open a small "niche" there that would be a success in itself. - GG WaW. - Panzer... Whatever.... this Combat Mission clone Koios works is working on. - Maximum Football I am sure there are others as well, but list of Matrix titles is so big it's easy to miss some Oleg
