Yeah, but the difference is, in Highlander II and III, he succeeded.

Ho-hum... Another day... Head feels like an overfilled beach ball... Back of throat feels like somebody took some sandpaper to it... Another one of Brother Penguin's ill-advised assassination attempts.

What, he tried partying you to death?

Faber had made some comment about cooking a meal for 10 for a dinner party (?) this weekend...

Yet, they still kept making the Highlander movies even after that (it looks like they might have EIGHT of these things out...) i'm not sure he was in all of them, though...

He wasn't. There was a short-lived TV series as well...

I actually got into watching the TV series

IIRC Adrian Paul was the actor of Macleod in that. They made a film or 2 with both him and Lambert in it

gee, from your subtle comments, i take it you are not a fan of bad actors!!

Personally, i rather enjoy bad movies, and i've seen quite a few of them. There are different scales of badness, but once a movie goes beyond a certain point, it starts to become funny.

Probably the worst movie i've ever seen in a theater was "Starcrash", a starwars ripoff (out on video in some different names to protect the guilty). It was truly amazing. Really bad "special" effects, stupid plot, etc. Christopher Plummer was in it (amazingly) and he made some sort of speach at the end of movie. Some guy sitting in about the 3rd row of a relatively large theater, exploded in anger and yelled "Aw, f**k off!!" and hurled his half eaten box of popcorn in an arc towards the screen. The rest of the audience laughed and applauded this guys sentiments... A couple of people said they had seen it on video, and were about to turn it off when the star (a Bond girl Babarella-like character) got sentenced to spend a life term in a bikini...

LOl Robert. How would you have guessed i'm not a fan of bad acting?

JCvD is another 'favourite'....i'm not averse to some bad films. For example in my DVD collection I actually have JCvD's 'Double Impact' with the witty tagline "One packs a punch. The other packs a piece" This is watched if I fancy seeing someone's head get kicked in........

A real classic, no doubt! i may have to check this out as an example of "bad movies".

Certain genres seem to breed bad movies - science fiction is one, and karate movies are another.

He really is very horrible... The only reason Highlander I is as good as it is, is because of the quality of the story. Even Lambert couldn't ruin that...

Lets be fair, the direction and editing of Highlander I also was pretty poor. The story, while original, was pretty rough also. However, it had that element of off-beat uniqueness, along with a cool plot line that makes for a great cult classic stuff.

DeepDiscountDVD.com has it (need to do a search, it is marketed under a different name, but the blurb will mention that it is Starcrash.)...

BTW, according to some, this movie had one of David Hasselhoff's finest performances of his career!!
