Been away and am leaving on vacation soon so here is my contribution for the day. A photo of Warrant Officer 0/0 at work:

Ain't no way that's a warrant. He'd be out of the pic behind something solid laughing hysterically after telling some private (or most likely a lieutenant) to do that.

Not even a 2nd lieutenant fresh in from OCS would do this. Four years of college and basic teaches them that when you hammer on things that go boom bad things will happen. A warrant officer wouldn't be anywhere near that.

I wonder what this guy is really doing.

Besides which, judging by the shell immediately behind, there's no fuse in it...

I'm betting that this is some sort of immediate action field proceedure for making sure that the shell can't be used. Damage the shell badly enough that you can't put a fuse in it or something.

These shells look awfully large - they are much thicker than the guys leg, and are not quite as wide as his body - maybe 12". I am guessing they are some sort of aircraft bomb, or possibly a rocket (although they don't look right for a rocket, maybe some sort of rocket warheads...)

Maybe in the next photo a naked female pops out or something? This is strange... why would a porn site have something like this - or maybe it's some sort of strange advertising (guys would be the ones to check out something involving military ordnance.)

Hello all. Pray to the Thread that today isn't going to be a bad day for me.

My mother, who had triple bypass surgery a few years ago, called me this morning. Apparently one arm, shoulder and side of her neck are still and sore and I need to take her to the doctor in a couple of hours. She's probably been moving boxes of stuff around so it is likely just pulled muscles but it still worries me.

Too soon after my father's death to have her die too. Hoping its just pulled or sore muscles.
