I want to make a public peace offering and apology to our Croation members.

I have been reading this forum for well over a year, and I have been posting for the last few months.

In that time period, this has, at times, been a most contentious forum. I have been as human as anyone has ever been and have been at times been angered by things I have read - and I have hastily replied when I felt aggrieved, and said words in anger.

This is directed specifically at Apollo11, Pauk, Honda, Oleg, and even Ursa Maior (though he is not from Croatia).. and anyone else I have offended out of pride, haste, and anger.

I do regret not being of cooler mind and calmer temperment, but I am only an imperfect human.

I just want to get this off my chest - because life is too short - and I do not hold anyone in as low a regard as they may think.

When people get upset they usually say things they do not wish too and usually regret having vented later on - and I am no exception.

Anyway, I have said what I feel I should say, and hope those of you on the other side of the fence will take the time to read this and reflect.

Hi, It is not limited to this forum. Where ever and when ever one person voices an opinion or relates what he considers a fact an opposition will emerge to question his claims or statements. This is OK. I don't intervene just because posters do not agree.
I will no longer tolerate any personal attacks on these forums. I think I can tell a jest from an attack but be carefull even when you jest. Not everyone has the same sense of humor.

Since we acknowledge before we begin that we will not have 100 percent agreement we must agree in advance that we will allow disenting opinions to be expressed. You don't have to agree with one another but you must tolerate one another.

No one is allowed to post anything that another reader might interpet as hatefull or disrespectfull. those are simple rules and they will be in the future strictly enforced. I apologize for letting it get out of hand. I don't want to be a policeman, censor or a referee. I want to be a "MODERATOR"

So you don't have to agree you don't even have to like one another but you must nevertheless remain civil and polite. The forum is to educate, exchange ideas and opinions and entertain but not to express political or personal opinions if such expressions are hurtfull to another "law abiding" member of the forum community.

Don't make me go medeval on you

im with ron ?? huh ? what apology and what for ?

If you got a bit riled about the serbian bombing campaign over kosovo .. to the best of my knowledge it's not croatia you need to apogise to .. IRL i know several serbs who hated the milosovich government and participated in the massive peace marches the government.

thats just my 2p .

Hi, So if your not mentioned or have not been offended by any post of Demosthenes or your not Mogami the moderatior you don't have to feel compelled to post a response. And the only response will be apology accepted. (If you don't wish to accept that's fine just keep it to yourself)

In fact I'll just go ahead and accept on behalf of those mentioned and anyone from the dawn of time to the present who might have been or imagined himself to have been offended by anyone calling themselves Demosthenes and since that concludes this threads purpose and everyone is happy I'll just lock it up.

I'm proud of Demosthenes for taking the time to mend the fences and of eveyone for allowing the fences to be mended. Beers on me (if you can find me)
