Hi

Had the game since day one, and I have dloaded each update as it has been made available, however just thought I'd let you know that on my system...

3.06ghz cpu 512mb ram geforce 5600 with 256mb ram I get the shadows defaulting to basic and framerate error messages running at 1024*768 16 bit colour.

Seems like it is a reasonable game, although I am struggling to find time to play it at he moment due to work etc.

Wasn't sure if the above spec would be good enough but just thought I'd post to let you know.

Cheers!

Mistermod,

I'll move this to support - if you want to post a DxDiag file for us, we can take a look and see if something can be tweaked.

Regards,

- Erik

I actually had the same problem with a FX5700. I would suggest getting a more recent video card. I recently purchased a geforce 7800 and had no problems with shadows etc.

Don't know if you got the dxdiag? as there was no update to my reply.

Anyhow, just tried the latest patch, and even on 800 * 600 * 16 I am still getting a framerate report that it is below 25 frames per second. The shadows always default to basic. If I try advanced shadows in anyhting above 800 * 600 they flicker before I get the message that the framerrate is poo and they are turned down.

Also even isf the shadows are set to basic they seem to remain in odd places after a play has finished, ie not under the players feet.

Finally I also note I have a yellow number flashing between 31 and 32 to the leaft hand bottom part of the screen as the game is playing.

I am a bit releuctant to upgrade my graphics card as it does a pretty good job handling far cry (albeit in a medium res) and that's the only other game I am playing at the moment.
