I still haven't been able to load in a new playbook successfully. I tried NFL 1959 and could onlly find plays but no playbook. I know I am missing something essential (and probably very simple), but no success as yet. Are there any procedures for loading new playbooks? (I am looking for a standard NFL playbook)

Are you looking to add plays to a playbook or create a new one?

In the PDS or Utility Set, you can create a new playbook and import plays from an export file.

I did try to make up a new playbook by importing plays, but I don't think I arranged the playbook properly because when I tried t use it the game froze after the kickoff.

I may need a bit more infoemation to figure this out. Some export files do not have either offensive or defensive plays, so they cannot be used by themselves.

Did you try to import individual plays or try to import a playbook in the form of an export file?

I only tried to load individual plays. As I understand it a new playbook has the basic special teams plays and only needs offensive and defensive plays. (I may have screwed up on the defensive plays)

I would like to to try to load a playbook in the form of an export file if possible.

I have been creating a new playbook and then importing offensive and defensive plays one by one and it has worked. It's a bit tedious, but it works. I've been saving the plays by nmleague and Deft into the plays folder of my Matrix folder. So now I am a combo of the 59 playbook and Deft's plays all available.

I haven't figured out how to import an entire playbook all at once yet, however.

The playbook you want to import should be in its folder inside the Maximum-Football folder.

Open up your playbook in the PDS and hit the import book button. You will get a display of any playbooks in an export file. Select the playbook you want.

The 1959 playbook looks to be in export format, so it should have been available to import it.

I also got a new playbook to work by importing individual plays. I tried it out last night and it does tend to create more realistic play. I have yet to import a entire playbook though, but I will try again.

I'm also having a hard time importing an entire playbook. When I get to the import phase, I don't get the whole book. I have to do it play-by-play. I must be missing a step someplace, I'm just not sure where.
