Just purchased and loaded WitP. Downloaded patches v160 and v1795B. Problem is, when the game AI gets part way into the turn resolution, my PC auto re-boots and I lose the turn. I haven't been able to complete a second turn yet. I'm running the game on an Alienware Aurora, XPpro, plenty of RAM and HD space. PC isn't running hot, so it's not overheating. Looks like some kind of SW conflict, so I'm hoping you can help. Thanks

bill ... obviously most of us aren't having this problem or we wouldn't be posting here 20+ months after the game was released. But we might need a bit more information to help. What is your DirectX version ? And are you running with animations on or off ? If on .. trying running a turn with them off to see if that helps, just a diagnostic step to see if we can localize the problem. Are you playing allies or japanese ?

similar problem, one or two turns after the beginning, it crashes. No matter what the version is, same problem same time. I tried all versions, from original 1.00 to latest 1.60

My PC, IBM ThinkPad T42 CPU Centrino 1.8 Menory 1G ATI Mobile Radeon 9600 OS Windows XP Pro SP2 DirectX 9.0c I tried turning animations off, but still doesn't work.

I tried both allies and japanese
