I'm making a picture story to show how Haig tactics work just as well in chess as they do in real wars. I just started this account so it begins at a rating of 1500.

My first game is with a high rated player who may have joined my game offer to score an easy win against a newbie. His strategy during the whole game was to force as many piece trades as he could possibly going for a timewin after the board was cleared but he came up a queen short in the end. I promoted a second queen for an easy as pie mate in the corner.

The next challenger was lower rated and was dispatched with a midgame mate after suffering huge losses in material. Notice how he hasn't even moved his rook, knight and bishop in the top left of the board. A lot of players try to get too aggressive in the opening and are disciplined accordingly.

Apparently even the might Hannibal rated at 1755 couldn't handle the pressure and he quit out of the game suddenly instead of resigning when he was down 6 pawns and a rook. I went on a pawn gobble in midgame and on my last move his rook was lost in a pin which triggered Hannibal's catastrophic morale failure. He pulled his modem plug to disconnect from the internet so unfortunately I was unable to get his points

.

This has nothing to do with SP:WaW. This forum is for AAR/DARs from Steel Panthers games, not chess. Please take this to some other forum. Thank You.

TOKYOBOY,

why do you think we care about your chess matches? Furthur more... HUH?

Ok maybe this will help. You are a cool guy and we all think that your angle of Haig tactics is REALLY original and neato.

Now stop clogging up this forum with your insecurities.........I need more room to insult Goblin or to watch Alby and Goblin trade insults!!!!

HH---dripping with sarcasm

forgorin, they are just jealous of me cause I make such interesting and cool threads. And I it looks like h_h_lightcap is trying to score some buddy points with the regular grumps. Hmmm... the trolls say my threads are of no interest to anyone. So why do all my threads have such high hit counts? Their logic escapes me.

Anyways, I'll post more pictures of HaigtheLegend's adventures when I get back to chess. Also, it looks like I'll be starting up an ANZAC vs IJA campaign instead of Russia so I'll make a story of that too. Wow, imagine me posting 2 pictures stories at the same time! It will have the forum grumps like FlashfyreSP pulling what's left of their hair out for sure!!

"Don't ya just love it!" Yup.

Check out the time on his machine, compared with the time of posting - is that a US timezone?
