First checking, anybody seen major Destruction???

Secondly, I was informed that Matrix follows these rules for size of vehicle. Is it still in place or has been modified?

Quote from Major Destruction.

"According to instructions I received from the programmer, small vehicles should be size 0 but when this edit was made for v6 it was rejected by Matrix.
Vehicles of size 5 or more are excessively easy to hit.

Here is the breakdown that I used as a guideline
Size 1 = Height<1.8m
Size 2 = Height <2.4m
Size 3 = 2.41-2.70m
Size 4 = 2.71-2.99m
Size 5 = 3.0-3.29m
Size 6 = >3.5m"

there is a formula used to obtain vehicle sizes, but i have lost it.

0 = Snipers, 4 man or less machine guns and 2 to 4 man recon patrols.
1 = Infantry, bicycles, crewmen, motorcycles, all mortars, all infantry guns, anti-aircraft guns up to 40mm, artillery up to 76.2mm and anti-tank guns up to 76.2mm.
2 = Anti-aircraft guns of 57mm to 76.2mm, artillery larger than 76.2mm, anti-tank guns larger than 76.2mm, cavalry, utility vehicles and other transport with a carry capacity of less than 10 (or 110),.
3 = Small armored cars, most armored vehicles without turrets such as self-propelled guns and tank destroyers, small tanks, anti-aircraft guns larger than 76.2mm, transport with a carry capacity from 10 (or 110) to 19 (or 119).
4 = Normal sized tanks, large armored vehicles without turrets such as self-propelled guns and tank destroyers, transport with a carry capacity of 20 (or 210) to 29 (or 219).
5 = Large tanks, very large armored vehicles without turrets such as self-propelled guns and tank destroyers.
6 = Very, very large vehicles.

Yeah, I've had a sighting of Major. He sent me some maps on Sunday, so I'm pretty sure he's around.

What do you want?

How are you?

Just want to check the formulae you gave me years back on the size of vehicle.

This was the guide that was used to make some kind of consistent size assesment for vehicles. This guide was used for version 8 to 8.3 but may have had some sort of precedent in earlier versions.

For the Multi-mod, the size of vehicles is as Alby stated, and fits with the programmers conventions.

Few realize how much Stuart has contributed to this game, in OOBs, scenarios, participation in special projects such as my mega-campaigns, and so much more.

He is brilliant, innovative and a bulldog for accuracy in scenarios, maps, and more.

My helmet is off to this gentleman. We've worked together for about 7-8 years now I think and he has always been there for me. Thanks, Major!

And he has been invalueable to the mod team as well.
His work on the ratings alone would drive a lesser man to insanity.
