Yes, Dune did have ornithopters. It also had fat guys with anti-gravity belts, dessication of the dead and psychics in aquariums......just like Wal-mart.

They call them "lawn tractors"...... you'll find them in the lawn and garden section, as well as the returns counter.

Rats - got one of them already (used). The wings apparently have fallen off mine... maybe that's why the guy was so willing to part with it...

Yup - someone sure did! And, you are correct T. - it was the Neanderthals.

Check out:

They also have the classics "Purple People Eater" and "Beep, Beep" on it...

Only if you used the cheap fish-based feed. Spring for the better stuff in the 50lb bag and it'll be fine.

But can they launch from a size 3 shoe or must it be size 4? And can they load torpedos from such small footwear? Because honestly they really should only be loading torpedos for special missions, anyway.....

Not if you season him properly and cook him long enough.

I think the Russains tried this with dogs. They strapped anti tank mines to them and trained them to run under tanks. The problem was that they could not tell an enemy tank from a friendly one.

Sure. I assume you never heard of the Romans using Pigs as a type of fire bomb? They used to coat them in a tar based substance...herd them towards the enemy......light the Ronson....and RUN.

They caused chaos when used.......

I was never that fussed about the Romans when I started my Archaeology degree. Every year that has gone by since then has led me to respect and admire them more and more (mot related to the fire pigs I must add!)

Well, good news and bad news (for me and mine, anyway):

Boss came to me and said they were shortstaffed after some strange (and unsettling) events, and asked me to do some more work: did i want to work Mondays again, or just do more work per day. i opted for Mondays - better pay, and i figured i was less likely to be as tired at the end of the day and thus less likely to make a mistake.

So, more money, but less time... Supposedly this goes back to "normal" in July. Of course, i haven't been getting most of the time off anyway due to various "emergencies"...

And of course after that, the staff that assigns work came later to me and asked me to do some extra cases anyway...

Anyway, my plan to have NAKED ANIMAL Contests on Monday has been effectively scuttled. C'est la vie...
