Guess the Update post could use some more updates

Hmm could of swoar we had one in here ?

were's a mod when you need one ?

just some info on what is going on

we have hammered a number of the major bugs (YEA)
fixed more minor bugs and error bugs

we have added in a number of new/neat options (more Waypoints/Patrol/Fuel System/Info)

we have even had the AI win the game playing against it self !

right now, there are 48 new/remodeled planes added to the game
we had 2 P-47's before, we have at least 5 now
we had 1 P-40, we got 4 now
don't want to talk about some of the others till we get the Artwork all hooked up and snazzy

the Pilot Data Base as of right now holds
1934 US Pilots......3733
655 GB................1143
250 Poles..............249
124 Can................342
68 Cz.....................70
45 NZ.....................78
167 Fr...................388
32 Aus..................137
52 Du.....................54
14 Nor....................79
24 S.Af...................33

807 GE................1860
175 Ro....................80
64 It......................164
108 Hu...................105

we have a new nation called Co Axis, with 127, these are the Croats and Bulgains (think I spent that wrong)
also not listed is the Brazilians, right now that are lumped in with the Yanks for this report

some numbers you see, seems to stay the same or get smaller, there were mistakes in the old list, say 145 Squadron, which was known for a bit as the Polish Fighting Team, most of the Poles in that Squadron were also in other squadrons, some pilots were in 2 or 3 squadrons, so the more I get to add, the more I seem to take away, plus the system does not let me assign the pilot's background, that is based on the unit, so a pilot flying in a Polish Squadron, is a Pole, a Pole flying in a Pure RAF Squadron, is GB

(work in progress, not really even started on the GE, not all Nations line up wear they should, but we getting there)

which in the long run, lots I am not talking about yet, some of the Goodies got to remain on the hush hush for a while longer

Ahhhhh, spelled Update wrong, duh

I am getting to love names

this is one area I get a kick out of

Joseph (US)

and then

Josip (Croat)
Jozef (Pole)
Jozsef (Hung)
Josef (GB/GE)
Josph (US)
Joeseph (US)
Joesph (US)

which to be honest, I am a poor speller, but if you see any names that may not look right, it may not be my fault

Nice to see such a well thought out makeover for these two classics. I loved them in their original form. Can't wait to play again after they receive that ol' Matrix Magic!

Who failed? We weren't trying to sink it, just dispose of rather a lot of spare ammo, and a few fortifications. We succeeded in that!

not from the reports I read about it, after the BOOM, they were shocked it was still there, everybody knew it would be gone

of course, if they wanted to do it right, they should of put the Bang, under the island :)

I've seen the bomb craters made by british bombs on Helgoland. Believe me, with enough effort put in, they could have "sunk" this poor small island.

well lets see how we doing, the old list that I updated a few times, until it got too confuseing

quote:

the Pilot Data Base as of right now holds
1934 US Pilots
655 GB
250 Poles
124 Can
68 Cz
45 NZ
167 Fr
32 Aus
52 Du
14 Nor
24 S.Af

807 GE
175 Ro
64 It
108 Hu

new listing

2051 US
32 Aus
964 GB
131 Can
68 Czech
51 Du
285 Fr
45 NZ
16 Now
250 Pol
18 SA
61 Baz

917 GE
111 It
105 Hun
81 Rom
94 Coax

Coax are the Bulgiran, Croats and any of the other same nations, this way there get there own replacement pool and not drag off of Romy

I just have to ask this:-

Old Listing New Listing
52 Dutch 51 Dutch
24 S.af 18 SA
175 Ro 81 rom

Why the lower values for the new listing?

well the Romy is easy to explain

all the Croats and Bulgrian pilots were using Romy as there nation, but we now have a Coax listing, so they are using that instead, which works well, as they now get there own replacement levels and do not have to take pilots from the Romy

of course the others are even easier to explain

mistakes and doubles

a lot of CW pilots flew for a number of different squadrons during there carreer, I find sources saying that so and so flew for this unit in aug of 43, so I place him there, seeing he is not in that squadron, then during the checks, find out that this pilot is someplace else

there was a Nor Pilot, who ended the war flying a Fightfighter, and was placed in a NF unit, but for most of 43 and half of 44, he was flying Spits, I took him out of the Night Fighter and into his Spit

in fact, there is one pilot I am hunting down, he is in 3 Squadrons (I didn't add him)

:)

Svein Heglund?

Don't forget Tarald Weisteen? He was flying with 85 Sqn as of 17Aug43 (joined unit Jul43)

Both are on the list, hope you are finding it useful.
