So I'm testing a new scenario with German log rifle pits which formerly had a Panzerfaust, but after installing the enhanced version (which I will use exclusively from now on) my Sherman gets vaporized by something called an 88mm PzGranate. This is what I get for customizing my weapons mix. Incidentally, I'm not complaining, it was easy to fix, and luckily I discovered it early in the game. Anything else I should watch out for? Like pulse rifles or laser weapons??

That weapon is the official designation of the Pueppchen recoilless rifle.

Yes, there will probably be a number of "surprises", what with new units added, weapons added/renamed and rearranged somewhat, some units deleted in favor of newer ones, etc.

If you are using any scenario built using a different set of OOBs, you'll probably have to check most, if not all, the units to see if there are any discrepancies. The biggest will tend to be weapons; we find many units have bad weapon loads now, since many were moved around.

I had the v8.403 installed. I'm continuing to play. I miss the bazooka sound.

the Pzfaust 100 used to be in that weapon slot many years ago...in some version
I am finding this weapon alot in editing Long Long Road to Victory.
old scenarios and campaigns will alot of times have the wrong weapon somehwre now.
Thats why we are editing them.
Alot of this kind of thing happened before enhanced was even thought of

The bazooka has sound
The Zook and schrek use same sound
Fausts use a different one
Piat uses yet another different sound.

My Sdkfz 6 turned into planes lol. Was this because I instealled it wrong, didnt delete the file before installing, or just a bug?

The bazooka sound is still a whoosh sound.
sound 636, 637, 638
If you installed your sound manually, perhaps you somehow got things screwed around???
sounds like your Zook is using the default sound, the game assigns to certain things.
I wonder how many of the other 130 or so new sounds you are missing out on??!!
The Thompson SMG, Bar, Mp38/40, Mg34 and 42, Fj42, STG44, Simonov SKS, 12.7 Dshk, 7.62 DT MG, PPSh SMG, pistols, ATRs...
the different caliber of AA guns all have thier own distinct sounds now.
and the list goes on and on......

Gunter....
are you playing a pre made scenario?
The sdkfz 6 should not be showing a plane Icon.
Did you install using modswapper or try to install all your files manually.

For now you have to assume that the only scens compatible with the Enh mod are the ones listed at the Depot in the Enh forum.

The mod is best used with user generated campaigns and battles for solo and PBEM.

If you have been around a while this happens every time there is an "Official" update too. The H2H mod came with plenty of scens that were only H2H compatible.

Give the team time to create or convert some for us.

So far when loading my armored cav save, the only unit changed in that battle was FR Platoon HQ units. They had the correct icon on the map, yet were classed as a tracked vehicle; and when destroyed they left behind a crew. It was weird, seeing FR Platoon HQs "Abandoned" on the field; and chasing down the "crews" that just abandoned them. :P

One thing though, I loaded Enhanced on turn 3, and they kicked it up a notch or three in that battle. Whereas the enire campaign (3 battles up to then) I had lost a little over 80 men and 6 AFVs (and 2 artillery); I lost 79 men and 6 AFVs in that one battle. Most of the men were lost against the initial French line, the AFVs were lost when I charged full speed to the rear VHs, which had some rather well placed ATGs and a few Char D2 and Bs hidden in positions to ambush my advancing force. As my calvary had been left behind in the rush, it was just unsupported tanks, and I lost 4 and had three immobilized. Still overwhelmed these positions and chased the last few French units; 4 trucks with 75mm guns mounted, 3 field guns, and 1 last ATG; all the way to their retreat hex. I'm fighting my fist full battle in Enhanced against the British, 7/40; and thus far they have show considerable skill. A nice combined-arms force is advancing rapidly, and even though I'm in a defend, they are not being churned up as soon as they get into range. The casualties are still disproportionant, but the Brits still have a severe advantage in all arms. Mostly, the advance elements are all infantry, only supported by howitzer fire. The armor is in view, but not in range. We'll see how well they fare when they are mostly in range.

Thus far, I don't like the mod.... I love it. I would have experienced a much greater difficulty against the French had I not started with the mod after I had torn up a good chunk of their infantry, which was unsupported by anything. Unsupported, weakened, and suppressed, and against tanks, close artillery, and calvary; they didn't have a chance. By turn 7, they had been destroyed utterly, save for a handful that retreated. I have a feeling that my fight with the British is going to be a slobberknocker; with the majority well out of firing range, I see at least 5 companies of infantry, three cruiser squadrons, and 2 AC companies. I haven't seen any Matildas yet, but then I may not have noticed them. The artillery fire I have recieved, if spread out, could easily cover my entire line. Quite a bit for two companies of light tanks and two calvary squadrons, with the third group held in reserve; and backed by howitzers and ATGs...

I'm glad you are enjoying the "not-so-easy" French forces. Much of the French OOB work was contributed by David Lehmann; I made some adjustments, and fixed some data errors that all OOBs were suffering from, but the lion's share of the work on the French Forces was his.

Again, we stress that the Enhanced Mod will not be 100% compatabile with all scenarios or campaigns; this includes in-progress campaigns as well. While succeeding battles will get the benefit of the Mod, at least for any new purchases, core forces and AUX units will still operate using older data, until changed.

I just wish I had actually started a battle against them, not just started in the middle of one. It was quite enjoyable; and I think things could have been very interesting if they had the advantages of the Enhanced Mod to start.

The  casualty messages were removed for the Mod. It's not a bug.

What you see is the best we could do without rewriting the game code.

Yes I found another surprise. The Schwimmps II (Czech version of Panzer II) is it supposed to be bigger than the Matilda II? It is huge, much bigger than the matilda. I doubt it is that big in real life. I'd post a screen shot of it but I donno how except print screen than paste it into soemthing, but that it is all messed up.

Edit: Also you can still see the casualties on the top of the screen the box pops up for about .5 of a second but if you are fast you can catch it.
