So far when loading my armored cav save, the only unit changed in that battle was FR Platoon HQ units. They had the correct icon on the map, yet were classed as a tracked vehicle; and when destroyed they left behind a crew. It was weird, seeing FR Platoon HQs "Abandoned" on the field; and chasing down the "crews" that just abandoned them. :P One thing though, I loaded Enhanced on turn 3, and they kicked it up a notch or three in that battle. Whereas the enire campaign (3 battles up to then) I had lost a little over 80 men and 6 AFVs (and 2 artillery); I lost 79 men and 6 AFVs in that one battle. Most of the men were lost against the initial French line, the AFVs were lost when I charged full speed to the rear VHs, which had some rather well placed ATGs and a few Char D2 and Bs hidden in positions to ambush my advancing force. As my calvary had been left behind in the rush, it was just unsupported tanks, and I lost 4 and had three immobilized. Still overwhelmed these positions and chased the last few French units; 4 trucks with 75mm guns mounted, 3 field guns, and 1 last ATG; all the way to their retreat hex. I'm fighting my fist full battle in Enhanced against the British, 7/40; and thus far they have show considerable skill. A nice combined-arms force is advancing rapidly, and even though I'm in a defend, they are not being churned up as soon as they get into range. The casualties are still disproportionant, but the Brits still have a severe advantage in all arms. Mostly, the advance elements are all infantry, only supported by howitzer fire. The armor is in view, but not in range. We'll see how well they fare when they are mostly in range. Thus far, I don't like the mod.... I love it. I would have experienced a much greater difficulty against the French had I not started with the mod after I had torn up a good chunk of their infantry, which was unsupported by anything. Unsupported, weakened, and suppressed, and against tanks, close artillery, and calvary; they didn't have a chance. By turn 7, they had been destroyed utterly, save for a handful that retreated. I have a feeling that my fight with the British is going to be a slobberknocker; with the majority well out of firing range, I see at least 5 companies of infantry, three cruiser squadrons, and 2 AC companies. I haven't seen any Matildas yet, but then I may not have noticed them. The artillery fire I have recieved, if spread out, could easily cover my entire line. Quite a bit for two companies of light tanks and two calvary squadrons, with the third group held in reserve; and backed by howitzers and ATGs...
