I much prefer playing humans to playing AI's. That's one of the reasons I bought Crown of Glory. I live in Australia, and have so far played people in the US, Sweden, Venezuela, and Australia. Before upgrading to ADSL, I had successfully played this game online with dialup. Recently I tried playing a game of COG with an English fella. At first, we couldn't even connect with each other...that is, get to the point where one of our computers, using a given IP number, could even find the other. Then, I was directed by a friend to a program called Hamachi. Basically Hamachi creates a secure LAN between two, or a group of players. Using Hamachi, the English bloke and I could finally recognise the other's computer to hook up for a TCP/IP game. Unfortunately whichever of us was trying to connect to the other guys computer would get an error message stating: "DPERR_TIMEOUT". Websurfing has led me to a few different places where such an error is mentioned. But nothing I could understand to make a fix. I suspect that because I have been able to play others, that the problem lays within either the ISP/connection the English guy is using, or something in his new computer. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions, I'd be eternally grateful. Thank you in Advance, Gary
