Ok,

To further suggestions voiced in other threads.

The story so far.

The Western Nations are invaded by "Mental Metal Chicken Monsters"* and this happens in 2010.

WHAT THE COMBINED WESTERN FORCES KNOW ABOUT THE ENEMY SO FAR.

Two Units of the Mental Metal Chicken Monsters have been identified.

1. Vampyre Turkey Armored artillery ( Battery?) - high cost though - not chicken feed.

2. Chocolate Bunnies from Hell - Special Forces (often undercover in gold foil sheets).

Highest award Available. The K.F.C

Thats about it so far.

Oh and it happens in the west.....somewhere.

I suggest a mega campaign cos there is going to be a lot of chicken to fry - recipies welcome.

All suggestions welcome.

* They do not call themselves Mental Metal Chicken Monsters. The first unlucky human to witness a specimen is reported to have shouted, "Mental Metal Chicken Monsters" and then shortly afterward " Arrrrghhh." The 'Chicken Monsters refer to themselves as " The in 'no way' mental, Metal chicken monsters."

I think the air force units would be named "wings" more specifically "buffalo wings".
Extra spicy wings = heavy jet bombers
Barbecue wings = fighter bombers
Regular wings = helicopter gunships
honey garlic wings = transport helos

Hey, where did you guys go? Am I the only one still dedicated to this project? I got my crayons and construction paper out and my 8 yr old nephew has some really cool ideas for MMCM strategies to deal with the precision guided muntions. Hope to hear from you's in the near future

The title made me wonder how or whether the fundamental nature of a scenario of TOAOW's scale wopuld be changed by the use of humanoid mecha rather than tanks.

Or whether a scenario in which one unit of alarming quality that is powerful beyond belief in combat but impossible to replace if lost in the time frame of the scenario is feasible or at all a useful concept. After all, one of my own axioms of warfare is that "an asset that costs you the war should it be lost is no longer an asset, but rather a liability".
