[ The topic will be very important for the gamers when they give you information so that you might save a lot of time to focus on only one track. ]

[ First, "well known" != "well sold". :-)
For well sold information, the news on the gamers net here will announce the most well sold games' name periodically. But for the well known information, it depends on people's taste. For example, people in the Real Time Based (RTB) game world could be never knowing anything important in the Turn Based (TB) game world, even they are playing war games too. ]

[ Basically, there are 3 levels when the computer game industry classify the warfare sim. games: strategic, operational, tactics. But the military definition about these 3 terms is kind of different from country to country basing upon what military doctrince the country adopt. Generally, the action/decision taken/made by groups beyond corp/division is classified as strategy. From division to batallion is classified as operational. Under batallion is classified as tactics. But there are lots of debates out there for these "simple" classification as I just mentioned. When taking war games as example to fit into a particular military level, it doesn't matter how many units you control/command in the game, but the action/decision needed to be taken/made by you when you play the game. ]

[ This era is not my favorite, so I don't have too much informaion. ]
