Well I will have to do some reading. I'm off to try and start my daughter's jeep (long story jeep has been down for 2 years and I am now ready to try and start it). Later

Failure. Actually sort of spectacular; minor wire harness fire when I connected the battery. Long story short; 2 years ago son fries head on jeep. Been working on it off and on ever since. Well evidently there has developed, in the interim, a short between positive and negative power leads coming off battery. Well now I need a new wire harness. Did I mention I don't like working on cars.

Such fun!!

Also on the car front: the guys at the Coyote Urine Store talked my wife out of spraying Coyote Urine on her car engine. So now, she is using her car as "bait" for a series of mouse traps...

Good going - even minor car fires usually become major car fires in very short order...

i'm guessing mice nibbled on the wiring. i suggest a liberal dose of Coyote Urine...

EDIT: PS - let me know how this works/smells!

On cars of that vintage get to know your local junk dealer. We have a guy in Denver who has been around so long he's like a local institution, Svigels Salvage. My grandfather went to this guys shop when he was at Lowry AFB for training in the 40's. It's a great place you can find just about anything you need super cheap.

I want to know if you have looked at the Material data safety Sheet (MSDS) for coyote urine. If I have to use it, there is supposed to be an MSDS for it.
