Sorry for double posting but I thought I would bring this out of the PBEM thread in case anyone was interested:

Not sure if anyone would be interested in this but I've created a quick .NET program that will allow you to browse to a scenario folder and examine the description contained in each scenario file by clicking on the scenario. Here's an example:

If anyone finds this useful and would like to use it you can download from my website:

NOTE: Requires .NET Framework 1.1

I threw this together in an hour so I'm sure that it can be much more user friendly and show more information. If this is useful, please give me some ideas to add to the design.

Thanks,

Bill

Awesome tool!

You might want to add a 'Launch TOAW' button and pass the .sce file onto the TOAW command line.

Hey Ralph and thank you for the idea!!

I have TOAW starting and the scenario launching correctly and have corrected my incorrect naming of TOAW!!!!

The link above has been changed to reflect the addition.

My next change will be to have the directory browser start in the TOAWIII directory

Thanks again,

Bill

Wunderbar !
Could you make it so that it browses automatically all subdirs below the header "Scenario" folder, so we'll have everything in the list w/o having to "rebrowse" ?

Nifty little utility.
Makes it easy to get a feeling of the scenario without having to open it in the editor.

Per the updated pic above I have made a few changes today.

1. Execute TOAWIII as well as starting TOAW with the selected scenario.
2. Removed the path from the list box...cleaner look
3. Will search through the scenario text for PBEM or pbem and will show a highlighted message that PBEM exists in the text
4. Printing is currently disabled but I will have it working hopefully tomorrow.

Thank you everyone for your suggestions and I'll keep improving it as I can...

Bill
