Just a short question for the people behind the resuscitation of TOAW: Is there a chance of making the editor windows larger, utilizing screen real estate better? As things stand, the event editor (for instance) only displays a few events at a time, and most of the screen goes entirely unused for the task at hand. (Editing events).

With many scenarios having hundreds of events, this can make it harder to get a good overview of event structure.

Still, great job on the new version so far - looking forwards to further development of the game!

Yeah, good suggestion. Of course, the event editor in particular is really user-unfriendly and could do with a major revamp.

And the text file can be opened with excel, so you can use the entire screen.

The PBM window is also incredibly small, also it shows the correct name of every unit spotted moving.
Why not use the regular play-against-Elmer window instead?

I suspect it has something to do with the size of the playback in terms of memory.

Is the "PBM" window the window that the PBEM replay is in?

If not, never mind ... BUT!! ... the replay window for watching your pbem opponent's move is small and its in the zoom out view ...

Can this be changed any way?  I know I can't make the window bigger at this time but can I change the zoom setting?

Not currently.

The information you get in the replay is all that is recorded. If you wanted the game to be able to show the large scale view during the replay, it would have to record every change in the appearance of a unit, and the size of the replay and therefore the PBM file would increase.

This may not be so much of an issue in the day of broadband internet. But it is something that has to be borne in mind.

I can play around with it and see how it looks.

One constraint I have with all this is the minimum requirements for screen size.
