I put this in the SPWAW forum but was told this would probably be a better place.

Whenever I hit the "y" key while playing I get the black screen of death. I have to manually stop the program. Not only this, but when I try to re-load all my OOB are missing and the campaign is for all purposes gone. A "little" frustrating as you might imagine.

My sysytemis P4 2.6, with Nvidia 6800 Gforce. Playing 8.4 SPWAW. Latest XP updates and video drivers.

Someone asked if I used a Pop-up blocker, would this really cause a fault?

It is because of new NVidia graphics drivers(WHY ?!?!?!). Dont ask me how come as it sound SO weird, but if you install (IIRC) pre 68.XX versions, it will work fine. I found this information from these support forums several months ago, but I cannot find it anymore. With ATI it works great.

Matrixgames is aware of this problem, but it has not released any patch for it. I wonder if they even care as it had been known for so long time without addressing this issue...
