When i try to run the install I get the following error

INF Install Failure. Reason: The I/O operation has been aborted because of either a thread exit or an application request.

I can click on OK and proceed with the install, but the game will not start.

Thoughts?

In addition, when I do run the game and click on Play. I get the following...

The Instruction at "0x734493d9" referenced memory at "0x0241ad58". The memory could not be "read"

Click on OK to terminate the program.

1. Disable any anti-virus programs
2. Check your disk for errors
3. Re-download the game
4. Re-install

Didn't work, however the game runs fine on my PC. It just doesn't work on my laptop. I think it is due to the virus protection installed by my office onto the laptop. I cannot get it completely turned off.

Ah well - I guess I will just use the PC version.

Ok, now I am confused. I was able to fully disable virus protection, re-download the file, checked my disk (no errors) and still have the same error.

It gets to the point where it is copying STDOLE@.TLB into the system32 dirc, hangs for a while, finishes the copy and then....

The I/O operation has been aborted because of either a thread exit or application request.

Still won't install.

Any thoughts on why?
